Great to meet you!

Welcome to Next Chapter Counseling Services. I am a licensed clinical therapist with over 30 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. My work is grounded in the belief that healing is possible and that the human spirit is remarkably resilient. I became a therapist because I believe in the power of connection, authenticity, and compassion to support growth, recovery, and transformation.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, and life transitions. I bring a warm, nonjudgmental presence to each session and am committed to meeting clients exactly where they are. In addition to extensive experience in both community and private practice settings, I am a faculty member at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, where I support and mentor graduate students as they become mental health professionals.

I have received advanced training in several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), and Unified Protocol. I am also a trained provider in military-focused care and have experience working with veterans and their families.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I draw from cognitive-behavioral methods, systems theory, and strengths-based practices to tailor therapy to your unique needs and circumstances. I work closely with each client to set meaningful goals and create a supportive environment to explore thoughts, emotions, and patterns of behavior. You’ll always have a voice in the pace and direction of our work together. I respect that growth looks different for everyone, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect to be seen, heard, and supported. Together, we’ll work toward increased self-awareness, coping strategies that make a real difference, and a sense of empowerment in your life and relationships. Therapy is a space to explore challenges, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful change at your pace and on your terms. Whether you're seeking relief from distress, support through a life change, or a deeper understanding of yourself, I will walk alongside you with authenticity and care.
