Great to meet you!

For over 37 years I've worked in healthcare — first as a trauma nurse, and for the past decade as a licensed mental health counselor. It taught me one thing I bring to every session: mind and body carry stress together, and healing has to hold both.

Maybe you're lying awake at 3am with your thoughts racing, moving through your days on autopilot, or carrying grief, a hard diagnosis, or a life change that knocked you off center. Maybe anxiety has you second-guessing everything, or depression has drained the color from what you love — while you hold it together for everyone else and quietly run on empty.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress, grief, relationship strain, low self-esteem, ADHD, and major life transitions. My nursing years mean I'm at home with clients whose emotional and physical health are tangled together. Wherever you start, I'll help you feel steadier and more like yourself again.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me starts where you are. Early on, we'll get clear on what brought you in, what you want to be different, and how we'll track progress.

My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to help you catch the thought patterns fueling anxiety, depression, and self-doubt and replace them with ones that serve you. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to make room for hard emotions while you move toward what matters, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) with clients working through trauma — all of it trauma-informed, at a pace that feels safe.

Expect a warm, collaborative, honest style. I'll listen closely and give you practical tools for between sessions, because change happens in everyday life, not just in the room. I believe people are more resilient than they feel at their lowest, and my job is to help you find that footing again.

What you can expect from me

Over our time together, my hope is that the things weighing on you start to feel manageable again. Clients often tell me they sleep better, worry less, and feel more like themselves — able to set boundaries, speak honestly, and meet stress without being ruled by it.

You can expect me to show up consistently, to be both direct and compassionate, and to keep our work anchored to the goals that matter most to you. I'll celebrate your progress and gently challenge you when it helps you grow.

You don't need it all figured out to begin. If you're ready to feel steadier and more in control, I'd be honored to take that next step with you.
