Great to meet you!

My name is Marcia Wong, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My primary focus is working with individuals with anxiety and depression, including all ages from children to adolescents and adults.

I currently work in a hospital setting as a Manager for a Partial Hospitalization Program / Intensive Outpatient Program.

I also enjoy working individually with client's in a private practice setting in my available time.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Approach:

My approach to therapy is solution focused. I utilize acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive restructuring, and dialectical behavioral therapy with my clients. My primary focus is working with clients who suffer from anxiety and depression - which many individuals of all ages are suffering from.

What you can expect from our first session

I like to find out what brought my client to therapy - and what their expectations for therapy might entail. Together, we work on identifying goals accordingly. Sometimes, I will suggest “baby step” goals, while other times I may suggest a more challenging goal, all dependent on the client. The goal for me is to meet my client where they are in life and find the best solution and utilization of tools for them to navigate through life.
