Great to meet you!

Hi there, I am a Clinical Psychologist with a decade of experience working with severe mental illness, including treatment-resistant medical depression and borderline personality disorder. I also have expertise in autism and gender. And love working with Queer and Neuroqueer clients.

My approach to therapy

I believe that healing comes from compassionate acceptance. For me, the purpose of therapy is to gain understanding of the relationships in your life, including yourself, others, and the community. I find it particularly important to examine one’s position in oppressive systems and the way it impacts self-concept and relationships. When you are with me, you are the expert in you and your experience. We will work together with the goal of empowerment through the creation of greater self-compassion. Formally, the types of therapies I practice are known as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Queer/Feminist Therapy. I also practice from a decolonial perspective.

What you can expect from me

I like to allow my clients to set their agendas and make their goals. I do not do a formal intake interview and rather prefer to get to know each other in a more conversational way.
