I graduated from Albany School of Social Welfare and a large portion of my professional background includes working as a medical social worker, where I supported individuals and families coping with serious medical conditions and the emotional challenges that often accompany them. I have also worked in dialysis settings and hospice care, which deepened my understanding of grief, loss, chronic illness, and the emotional impact these experiences can have on individuals and their families. Through this work, I have had the opportunity to support a diverse population of clients across a variety of backgrounds, identities, and stages of adulthood, which has shaped my appreciation for the many ways people experience change, loss, and relationship challenges. Most recently I have been conducting 1/1 therapy sessions with young adults up through geriatric stages.
I approach therapy with warmth, empathy, and genuine care, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),Person Centered, mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I focus on your strengths, hopes, and resilience, creating a safe space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood. Together, we’ll nurture insight, self-compassion, and growth, while honoring your journey and creating space for authentic healing.
I bring a steady presence into sessions, helping clients feel cared for and accepted exactly as they are. My approach is calm and down-to-earth, with room for lighthearted moments, laughter, and some quirkiness. It’s okay if starting therapy feels uncertain. Taking that first step is often the hardest part. You don’t have to have everything figured out. If you’re ready for a space that feels supportive, grounded, and real, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. I’ll meet you wherever you are in your journey.
