Great to meet you!

I live in the PNW and love spending time outdoors with my little one. Grew up in the Utah mountains and attended Utah Valley University for my BSN, then University of Utah for my DNP to begin working in mental health. Between educational pursuits (and overlapping), I worked in clinical research and developed an interest in pharmacology, giving direction towards creative treatment and prescribing in my role now. Despite my interest in how medications affect the brain and body, all of us benefit from safe therapeutic engagement and having a trusted person to confide in and discuss life's challenges. Medications may not be needed, but having a space to discuss the potential options if a need arises can make all the difference.

My approach to therapy

I believe we all experience mental health challenges at some point in our lives and there is power in seeking help to navigate the unknown. Each of us has unique histories and exposures, as well as physical illnesses or ailments, contributing to the quality of our mental health. My goal in treating your mental health is a partnership -- requiring collaboration and transparency from both of us in this therapeutic relationship -- to improve your quality of life and empower you to achieve your goals.

What you can expect from me

We will spend more time together in our first appointment to help us get to know each other and help identify which areas are most important to prioritize in developing your treatment plan. I love when patients are prepared with questions or concerns, and I am open to receiving feedback if there's anything I can do to facilitate a better introduction and/or therapeutic relationship as we work together. (If you've had another provider you loved, or maybe wasn't a good fit for you, please let me know what you liked/didn't and we can make this an opportunity to build communication and trust on our journey together!)
