Great to meet you!

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who believes that every person’s mental health journey is unique. My approach is warm, compassionate, affirming, and open-minded, and I strive to create a safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves.

I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adolescents, adults, and older adults, both in person and through telepsychiatry. I work with clients experiencing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, sleep difficulties, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder.

I believe in treating the whole person—not just the diagnosis. I take time to understand each client’s experiences, concerns, strengths, and treatment goals. My goal is to work collaboratively with you to develop a treatment plan that feels appropriate for your individual needs. Whether you are starting treatment for the first time or looking for a different approach, I want you to feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout the process.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is centered on listening, understanding, and meeting each client where they are. I believe that effective mental health care starts with building a trusting relationship where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, concerns, and experiences without feeling judged.

I take a holistic and individualized approach to treatment. I consider each client’s mental health symptoms, personal experiences, lifestyle, goals, and overall well-being when developing a treatment plan. When medication is appropriate, I provide careful medication management and take time to explain treatment options, benefits, and possible side effects so clients can make informed decisions about their care.

I believe treatment works best when we work together. I encourage my clients to be active participants in their treatment and I strive to provide care that is compassionate, respectful, practical, and tailored to their individual needs.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my goal is to get to know you, not just your symptoms or diagnosis. I will take time to listen to your concerns, understand what you have been experiencing, review your mental health and medical history, and learn about your current medications and treatment goals.

I want you to feel comfortable, respected, and heard, so I create a nonjudgmental and supportive environment where you can be open and honest. Together, we will discuss your symptoms, what may be contributing to them, and what you would like to improve.

By the end of the first session, we will work together to develop an individualized treatment plan. If medication is appropriate, we will discuss your options and make decisions together based on your needs, preferences, and overall well-being. My goal is for you to leave your first appointment feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about moving forward.
