Great to meet you!

“I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with two years of advanced practice experience and more than 40 years of psychiatric nursing experience. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, and I provide compassionate, individualized care tailored to each client’s needs. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical, helping clients better understand their symptoms, build coping skills, and make meaningful progress toward emotional well-being.”

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical, helping clients better understand their symptoms, build coping skills, and make meaningful progress toward emotional well-being. I use motivational interviewing, which is a form of talk therapy using more concise therapy techniques. I use CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness. Medication management is also a potential therapeutic approach that we can discuss and decide on together.

What you can expect from me

After our first meeting, which will be mainly a fact-finding session to get to know each other and an assessment with an initial treatment plan, we will work together to start. We will review goals and assignments, and journaling if this is used. You should leave feeling supported and being helped.
