Great to meet you!

My background and training have breadth.

I am a dedicated Licensed Counselor and Certified Professional Coach based in rural Georgia. I also offer clients in multiple states virtual sessions, phone consultations, and journal-based guidance.

With over 13 years of experience as Director of Social Services in long-term care and assisted living, I have worked extensively with senior adults and individuals facing vulnerable conditions.

Additionally, I bring more than 30 years of experience supporting teens and individuals struggling with anxiety and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

This diverse background uniquely qualifies me to address a wide range of mental health concerns with compassion and expertise.

Here are my academic and professional credentials.

  • Education Specialist (Ed.S) – Rider University, Lawrenceville, NJ
  • Master of Arts (M.A.) in Counseling – Rider University, Lawrenceville, NJ
  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Psychology – Thomas Edison University, Trenton, NJ
  • Applied Associate of Science (AAS) in Nursing – Raritan Valley Community College, Raritan, NJ

My approach to therapy

As an Eclectic Therapist, I integrate various theoretical approaches tailored to your needs. My person-centered approach fosters a safe, supportive environment where clients feel secure enough to express their thoughts without fear of judgment.

Together, we will work toward setting meaningful goals, overcoming obstacles, and creating a life of balance and fulfillment.

What you can expect from me

Healing and growth are possible.

Think of therapy as a time to address issues that plague you and learn how to overcome the obstacles that keep you stuck.

When we work together, we focus on you and your needs to foster growth and healing. Initially, clients usually experience many emotions as they address their concerns, gain self-awareness, develop new coping techniques, learn to become comfortable with change, and have the power to create the joy of New Beginnings.

When you work with me, our relationship will foster trust and safety. The security you feel allows you to be open about expressing complex emotions in a welcoming and supportive environment and build achievable, successful goals. Sometimes, you might experience setbacks or resistance during therapy, and that’s normal. Change can be frightening, and growth is slowly realized.

The good news is that you will experience growth, resilience, personal power, increased self-awareness, and grounding throughout the process. As a result, you will begin to love yourself and all your emotions, be honest with yourself and say how you feel, love your imperfections, and reward yourself frequently, no matter how small.
