Great to meet you!

Are you feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or no longer enjoying the things that once brought you happiness? Have you been struggling with low energy, feelings of worthlessness, changes in appetite, or difficulty managing life's challenges?

My name is Margaret Kenney, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor serving individuals across Texas. I am passionate about helping clients regain control of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so they can build healthier relationships, improve their emotional well-being, and feel more confident in their daily lives.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I provide a supportive, compassionate space where we can work together toward meaningful and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I believe that effective therapy begins with understanding each client's unique experiences, challenges, and strengths. Together, we will identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck while building practical skills to help you overcome obstacles and create meaningful, lasting change.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and solution-focused. I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.

Because every individual is different, I use an eclectic approach to treatment, tailoring therapy to meet your specific needs and goals. My primary therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and the Unified Protocol, a transdiagnostic treatment for emotional disorders that helps individuals effectively manage anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges by developing healthier ways of responding to thoughts and emotions.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss your current concerns, personal history, and the goals you'd like to achieve through therapy. Together, we'll develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and strengths.

After each session, my goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools and strategies that you can apply in your daily life. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I am committed to helping you build the skills and confidence needed to improve your overall well-being and quality of life.
