Dr. Margaret Miller began her career in psychiatry at Weill Cornell in the emergency room where she trained through Payne Whitney Psychiatric Clinic. Margaret returned to Columbia University for a Master’s in Nursing followed by a Doctorate of Nursing Practice with a clinical focus on psychopharmacology. She has presented work on reducing stigma and improving mental health care delivery at several conferences and is the recipient of multiple scholarly awards.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Margaret believes firmly in the power of the patient-provider relationship when it comes to providing care. Approaching all aspects of mental health with curiosity and empathy, Margaret specializes in crafting tailored psychiatric treatment plans that incorporate patient-centered goals. She uses her background in social work to understand patient’s in the context of their lives.

Margaret wants her patient's to feel validated, heard and empowered. A client should leave the first session feeling like their own experience has been seen by Dr. Miller and treatment moving forward will be tailored to each individual.
