Great to meet you!

Hi, My roots are in NY. I began in a Dual Degree Program for Education/Special Education and Social Work at Columbia University and Bank Street School for Education. I am a good match for Parents looking for their own support, therapy for their children. I am also a good match for you if you have experienced Trauma. Also a match if you want to get to understand yourself more deeply. We can explore ways to ways to soothe Depression and/or Anxiety. I have experience working with every age except teenagers. I am a Mom to teens at the moment and reserve this unique appreciation for them.

My approach to therapy

I try to understand what you most need or needed. I balance empathic listening with tools I have gathered along my twenty years in the field of Education and Social Work with diverse populations. Our foundation is the relationship we build. I continually will get to know and remind you of your strengths that have carried you this far. I aim to partner with you in what feels like support that eases or maybe even invigorates. I hope you can integrate what we talk about in sessions to carry you through your week . Hoping this process enables you to build closer more supportive relationships and take steps towards what matters most to you in life.

What you can expect from me

In a typical session, Clients can expect that I will follow what they need in that moment. Initially I may ask Do you need to be heard, helped or hugged? I can be a holding space for you to express what deserves respect and care. You are the leader in finding your own solutions. If you are interested in tools-we can explore different techniques that may help you widen the ways you accept emotions, work with thoughts, stories, your Values, and committed actions. Don't worry-I will not hug you, but I can offer guide you in ways to connect with yourself more compassionately.
