Great to meet you!

Taking the first step toward mental wellness requires an incredible amount of courage, and I want you to know that you don't have to walk that path alone. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over thirty years of experience helping individuals navigate the weight of anxiety, low self-esteem, and complex women’s issues. My passion is helping you find clarity when life feels overwhelming, whether you are dealing with a difficult life transition, grief, or infertility. I feel privileged to help my clients achieve their goals and improve their lives by offering a space where they can finally feel seen and supported.

I believe that true healing happens when we address both the mind and the spirit, and I am happy to offer faith-based Christian therapy if that is a component you wish to integrate into your care. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and walk with you to where you want to be, honoring your unique journey every step of the way. When I am not working with clients, I stay grounded by spending time with my family and enjoying the peaceful rhythms of my community. I want my clients to feel safe and empowered during their time with me, knowing they have an experienced and affirming partner in their corner.

My approach to therapy

My style is affirming, warm, and highly solution-oriented, designed to help you move from feeling stuck to feeling capable. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand how your thoughts influence your emotions, but I also incorporate Solution-Focused and Client-Centered approaches to ensure our work is practical and relevant to your daily life. I hope that my clients will be able to positively grow while working together by discovering the internal strengths that have been there all along.

We will focus on building actionable coping strategies that address the root of your stress or fear, turning "just getting by" into a more meaningful and fulfilled life. Whether we are working on identity issues or navigating a relationship hurdle, the focus remains on your progress and well-being. Clients should expect to feel heard and supported throughout our time together as we collaboratively map out the changes you want to see.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a low-pressure opportunity for us to share a safe place and get to know one another. We will talk about what specifically brought you to therapy and what you would like to achieve, ensuring that our roadmap forward feels safe and clear from the very beginning. I understand that reaching out can be difficult, so I prioritize creating a welcoming environment where you can speak openly without fear of judgment.

My goal for our first meeting is to provide you with a sense of hope and a better understanding of how we will work together as a team. We’ll discuss your background and current challenges, and I’ll answer any questions you have about the process. You can expect to leave our first hour feeling a sense of relief and a clearer idea of the next steps on your new path to healing.
