Great to meet you!

My approach to helping is creative, engaging in art, and the language that as children we were familiar with and could help us where verbal language may not have served us. Art crosses many cultures and helps us connect within more internal experience of our external world. My understanding of child development, culture, and religion along with understanding, families systematically, communities and identity help me to be a gifted and well rounded Art Therapist and Social Worker.

My approach to therapy

I have been a practicing social worker for 15+ years beginning in Child Developmental Preschools, helping families navigate first time parenting to working in the prison systems and helping the individual make the right choice for themselves, investing in their education finding substance abuse treatment or just learning how to be a better parent and present friend to those around them that are supporting them. I also worked in nursing homes and alongside hospice as a volunteer for three years in that time I learned about animal behavior. My dog is my services partner and he has served both in the schools and in the nursing homes, providing Love comfort understanding and the best of all connection.

What you can expect from me

When you work with me, you find the skills to not only learn to cope through the difficult times, but to see the silver linings in your experiences that made you who you are today. You will find that you came to ask for help as a stronger person, a person who has the right to have grace after Grace has been given to them, I offer a safe place for you to heal the younger self Enlighten your internal experience and find new perspectives for the future that lies ahead. I am here to validate and help accept that the past was what it needed to be and the present is yours to create. To trust the process while understanding the purpose.
