Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m Margaret Silva, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with resilience, creativity, and confidence.

I believe that therapy should be as dynamic and unique as the people I work with. Rather than just sitting and talking, my practice often incorporates creative, activity-based interventions—such as art, games, and media—to make the therapeutic process engaging, accessible, and deeply meaningful. I specialize in helping clients build vital social-emotional skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop practical problem-solving strategies for everyday life. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship issues, family issues, behavioral challenges, and life transitions. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative, and uplifting space where you (or your child) feel truly heard, supported, and empowered to grow!

My approach to therapy

I practice from a strengths-based, person-centered perspective, meaning I view you as the expert on your own life and our relationship as a partnership. My approach combines clinical expertise with practical skill-building to help you navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience and confidence. In our sessions, we won’t just talk about the obstacles you are facing; we will actively work on building the tools you need to move through anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship issues, family issues, and behavioral concerns. I specialize in helping clients strengthen communication, enhance social connection, and develop effective problem-solving strategies. By blending evidence-based frameworks with creative, interactive techniques, I help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions in a way that feels accessible, empowering, and deeply relevant to their personal goals.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a warm, welcoming, and entirely judgment-free space. Our first session is a low-pressure opportunity for us to connect, discuss what brings you to therapy, and explore your goals. We will talk through your background, address any questions you have about the therapeutic process, and begin collaborating on a plan tailored to your needs. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship issues, family issues, life transitions, or social-emotional growth, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported from the very beginning. There is no right or wrong way to show up. Simply bring yourself, and we will take it one step at a time!
