Great to meet you!

Domestic violence doesn't end when someone leaves — the trauma, the hypervigilance, the questions about identity and trust, often linger long after the immediate danger has passed. That's the work I specialize in: helping people who have survived something hard to understand what happened to them, reclaim their sense of self, and build toward safety in their relationships and their lives.

I'm a Latina LCSW trained at Adelphi University, practicing via telehealth across New York. I work with adults navigating domestic violence recovery, PTSD, trauma, anxiety, and depression — with a trauma-informed lens and a genuine commitment to meeting you exactly where you are.

I currently have 10 active clients and am accepting new clients through insurance. My practice is focused, not sprawling — which means you'll receive real attention and care.

My approach to therapy

My approach is practical and client-centered. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand the thought and behavior patterns that developed in response to trauma or abuse — and to begin replacing them with something more sustainable. Motivational Interviewing helps us work through the ambivalence that often comes with healing from violence or trauma: the complicated feelings, the grief, the uncertainty about what change looks like.

I don't rush the work. Healing from domestic violence and trauma has its own timeline, and I believe in honoring that. You set the pace. I hold the space and provide the structure.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about safety — yours. We'll talk about what's brought you here, what you've been through, and what you're hoping might be different. You share only what you're ready to share.

There's no pressure to cover everything at once. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling that this is a space where you can actually be honest — and that you've found someone who can handle what you're carrying.
