Great to meet you!

I'm Margie, and for 34 years I've sat with adults and seniors in San Diego who are working through anxiety, depression, grief, and the relationship strain that often shows up alongside life transitions or health changes. I also support LGBTQIA+ clients navigating questions about identity, relationships, and the people closest to them. Clients often describe our sessions as the place where the "aha" moments finally start to land.

My approach to therapy

Together, we'll work on helping you find and use your voice. That might look like setting boundaries that actually hold, communicating what you need without bracing for impact, or learning to recognize what your body and emotions have been trying to tell you. I still consider it a rare privilege to sit with clients in this work, especially those carrying grief, navigating a shifting health picture, or trying to rebuild a relationship that no longer fits the life they want. The clients who do best with me are ready to look honestly at what's happening, even when the honesty is uncomfortable.

What you can expect from me

In our first few sessions together, I'll ask about what's on your mind right now, listen carefully to your family and personal history, and help you name what you actually want therapy to do for you. There's no pressure to have it all figured out before we walk in. If anything I've written here sounds like the conversation you've been waiting to have, reach out. I'd genuinely love to hear from you.
