Great to meet you!

I specialize in substance use/abuse and recovery related issues, addressing depression and anxiety, grief and career counseling. I've worked with teenagers for many years and now work with many different kinds of people in various phases of adulthood.

I have a background in eco-psychology, horticultural therapy, Gestalt, ACT, and criminal justice. Seeking therapy and finding the right fit can be daunting so it is awesome you're taking the first step in looking around!

My approach to therapy

My approach is relationship based, goal-oriented and experiential when possible (meaning lets go outside or engage in some kind of activity to practice skills in addition to talking). It is a collaborative journey where we create goals and evaluate progress together, and build a true connection that directly supports your emotional growth and confidence in your unique self.

What you can expect from me

I always start with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy, hear from me and my style a bit more and then we’ll work together to decide what the best course of action will be. I strive to be direct with my clients while also creating a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to embrace the courage to be open, break through negative patterns and make desired changes in your life.
