Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) with a doctorate in psychology and extensive experience working with adults, college students, athletes, performing artists, and professionals. My clinical work focuses on anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, identity development, relationship concerns, stress management, and performance-related challenges. My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based, drawing from evidence-based practices to meet each client's individual needs. I am fluent in Spanish and French, conversational in Portuguese, and strive to provide culturally responsive care to clients from diverse backgrounds. I am EMDR-trained and committed to creating an inclusive, affirming environment where clients can develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence as they work toward meaningful and lasting change.

I believe that therapy works best when it feels like a genuine partnership built on trust, authenticity, and mutual respect. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted while also feeling supported to challenge unhelpful patterns and create meaningful change. I value curiosity, honesty, and collaboration, and I tailor therapy to your unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Whether you're navigating a difficult transition, managing stress or anxiety, or seeking greater self-understanding, I'll meet you where you are and work alongside you at a pace that feels both supportive and growth-oriented.

My approach to therapy

I provide a warm, collaborative, and affirming therapeutic space where clients feel supported while also being thoughtfully challenged to foster meaningful growth. My approach is empowering, solution-focused, and holistic, helping clients build on their strengths while exploring the deeper patterns, experiences, and beliefs that influence their lives. I am direct when appropriate, balancing honesty with compassion to help clients gain insight, develop practical skills, and move toward their goals with greater confidence.

I work with adults, college students, performing artists, athletes, and professionals navigating personal, academic, athletic, career, and relationship challenges. My practice integrates trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and anti-oppressive principles, recognizing the importance of each client's unique identities, values, and lived experiences. Together, we focus not only on reducing symptoms but also on increasing self-awareness, resilience, emotional flexibility, and a stronger sense of agency. I tailor therapy to each individual, creating an open-minded, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore challenges, strengthen coping strategies, and build a life that aligns with their values and aspirations.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to be a welcoming, collaborative conversation focused on getting to know one another and beginning to build a strong therapeutic relationship. We'll explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your current symptoms and how they're affecting your daily life, relationships, work, or school, and identify your strengths and supports. Together, we'll begin to establish goals that reflect your needs and priorities, creating a foundation for treatment that feels personalized, meaningful, and aligned with what you hope to achieve.
