Great to meet you!

As a clinical psychotherapist with nearly two decades of experience in the mental health field, I am passionate about the intricate workings of the brain and its profound impact on our overall wellbeing. My journey in Clinical Social Work, complemented by a PhD in Clinical Social Work and Mental Health, has deepened my understanding of the brain as a fascinating organ that requires our attention and care. In my practice, I emphasize the importance of self-care as a fundamental component of mental health. By nurturing our minds, we can enhance our quality of life and achieve a state of wellbeing that supports our daily functioning. It is crucial for each of us to understand how our brains operate and to implement strategies that promote mental wellness. I am committed to guiding individuals on their path to mental health by providing insights and tools that foster resilience and growth. Together, we can explore the ways in which self-care can be integrated into your life, empowering you to live with greater awareness and fulfillment.

My approach to therapy

I wanted to take a moment to share my therapeutic approach, which is deeply rooted in meeting patients where they are in their journey. My practice is centered on the belief that each session should be tailored to the unique needs and current experiences of the patient. This patient-centered approach ensures that our work together is both relevant and effective, even as we engage in a long-term treatment plan. I understand that the process of restructuring old patterns and behaviors, as well as learning and implementing new ones, requires time and patience. The human body and brain need this time to adapt and grow. I am committed to supporting you through this powerful process, recognizing that meaningful change is gradual and unfolds at its own pace.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a pivotal moment in the healing process, where we begin to explore and understand the factors contributing to the patients current challenges. During our initial meeting, we will have the opportunity to delve into life experiences up to this point. This exploration will help us identify potential sources of unhappiness and behaviors that may not align with your best self. My goal is to uncover these factors and understand how they might be influencing the coping strategies the patient have been using to navigate life's stressors. Together, we will work to create a supportive environment where the patient can feel comfortable sharing their story. This collaborative approach will enable us to identify and address the underlying issues, paving the way for positive change and growth.
