Great to meet you!
I am Carolina Figueroa and I hold a License in Clinical Social Work, LCSW in Conneticut and New York States. Many years ago, I immigrated to the United States, and I became a bilingual immigrant, who is now an active member of the community.
I began to volunteer and found my professional passion in the social work field. I have been working and volunteering in different nonprofits organizations, where I had the privilege to support our community. I hold a Master’s Degree from Sacred Heart University.
Every day I work with the community, and as an immigrant myself, I am aware of the additional challenges we confront every day due to the language, financial, legal, and cultural barriers.
I have experience working with mothers, families, yound adults and teenagers providing counseling to address the multiple factors they face. In addition, as a School Social worker in the Public Schools, I facilitate Grieving groups and the Mother-Daughter Bilingual Circles where we work with mothers and daughters to address issues of acculturation, trauma and loss that influence the mother/daughter relationship. I continue to enjoy volunteering in nonprofit organizations, serving, advocating, and mentoring members of the community.
I am delightful to be part of your personal growing, one session at the time.
