My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is holistic, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that healing happens within the context of safe, authentic relationships. I integrate evidence-based interventions with a culturally responsive lens, tailoring each session to the unique needs, identities, and lived experiences of my clients.

Drawing from modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and mindfulness-based practices, I support individuals in exploring patterns, building resilience, and developing tools for sustainable growth. I also value the importance of systems theory understanding that our personal well-being is deeply interconnected with family, community, and societal structures.

As a clinician, I strive to create a collaborative and empowering environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported in making meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

During our first session together, my goal is to create a welcoming, safe space where you can begin to share your story at your own pace. We’ll start by discussing what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain from our work together, and any concerns or questions you might have about the process.

I take time to learn about your background, values, and strengths, as well as the challenges you’re facing. Together, we’ll begin to identify goals and outline an approach that feels comfortable and supportive for you. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership you’re the expert on your own life, and I’m here to guide, support, and help you uncover tools that foster healing and growth.

You can expect our first session to be conversational, compassionate, and paced according to your comfort level. My intention is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the steps ahead.
