Great to meet you!

Healing often begins when you finally have a space to slow down, feel understood, and stop carrying everything on your own. My work combines evidence-based clinical practices with faith-based principles to help clients find emotional balance, personal growth, and inner peace. With more than 20 years of clinical experience, I work collaboratively with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, communication issues, self-esteem concerns, attachment wounds, grief, workplace stress, and the emotional impact of difficult life experiences. I am committed to providing supportive, culturally sensitive care that honors the whole person. I am also fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows me to connect with a wider range of clients and offer therapy that feels more accessible, personal, and culturally responsive.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel personal, practical, and aligned with who you are. My approach draws from Attachment-Based Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). This means our work may help you better understand how past experiences and attachment patterns affect your current relationships, challenge negative thought patterns that fuel anxiety or depression, improve emotional regulation, strengthen communication, and develop healthier coping skills. I often support clients with anger management, self-esteem, depression, coping with life changes, blended family issues, commitment concerns, communication problems, divorce and separation, family conflict, forgiveness, life purpose, and young adult challenges. My goal is to tailor therapy to your needs so the work feels both meaningful and effective.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a welcoming and supportive space where we begin building trust, respect, and openness. You’ll have the opportunity to share what brings you to therapy, whether that involves anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, communication difficulties, family problems, divorce or separation, life transitions, or a desire for deeper spiritual and emotional healing. There is no pressure to tell your whole story at once—we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we’ll begin identifying what you hope to gain from therapy, what patterns may be contributing to distress, and what healing or progress could look like in your life. You’re encouraged to ask questions about the process, and by the end of the session, my hope is that you leave feeling heard, respected, supported, and hopeful about the next steps.
