Great to meet you!

I am Maria Kotsaftis, M.A., RMHCI, a counselor and therapist who supports clients throughout Florida through virtual sessions. I work with those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and relationship problems. I am especially passionate about helping people strengthen communication, connection, and intimacy. I’m real, caring, and sometimes I’ll challenge you when I think it can help, but always at your pace. We will set goals, focus on what matters to you, and actually work toward making things feel better, because therapy should be productive, not like you’re talking in circles. I genuinely love what I do, and I’m here to support you through the hard stuff while helping you move forward.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most meaningful when it feels safe, genuine, and collaborative. I will meet you with compassion and curiosity as we explore your concerns and identify goals that reflect what matters most to you. Together, we will create an achievable path toward growth, greater self-understanding, and positive change. I provide space for you to express yourself openly while offering guidance and encouragement along the way. My hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, supported, and empowered.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I will take time to listen to your story, understand what brings you to therapy, and learn what you hope to accomplish. We will begin building a thoughtful plan that feels supportive and realistic for you. You will not need to have everything figured out before we begin.
