Great to meet you!

As we step into 2026, this is a great moment to slow down, reflect, and choose yourself. If you’re ready to focus on your well‐being, I’m here to support you.

I’m Maria Lopez, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with individuals, especially teens and young adults navigating identity, relationships, and life transitions. Many of my clients come in with stress, anxiety, self‐doubt, or the weight of past experiences.

I’m passionate about supporting the Latino community, including those facing cultural pressures, immigration‐related stress or grief, and the impact of what loved ones have gone through. I also enjoy working with first‐generation college students and recent grads stepping into new professional spaces and learning how to feel confident and stay true to themselves. If faith is meaningful to you, I’m happy to integrate faith‐based support into our work.

My goal is to offer a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered as you move toward the life you want.

My approach to therapy

You deserve a space where you can grow into your most authentic and empowered self, and I’m here to support you throughout that process. In our work together, I take a compassionate and collaborative approach, helping you navigate life’s challenges while reconnecting with your inner strength and resilience. I tailor therapy to your unique needs, drawing from evidence‐based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and using an eclectic, flexible style to support meaningful and lasting change. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and encouraged as you move toward the life you want.

What you can expect from me

I like to take a really collaborative approach when we work together. We’ll create goals side by side, because honestly—no one knows you better than you do. We’ll talk through what’s been on your mind, what you want to focus on, and what feels most important right now. From there, we’ll map out steps that feel realistic and supportive.

Your goals aren’t set in stone. They’re flexible and meant to grow with you. We’ll check in regularly, see what’s working, and make adjustments as needed so the process always feels aligned with where you are.
