Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 10 years of post-graduate experience supporting children, adolescents, and families across a wide range of settings. My background includes work in mobile crisis, pediatric skilled nursing, child advocacy, special education, public schools, and community mental health. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the unique strengths and challenges every individual and family brings into therapy.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Hartwick College and my Master’s degree in Social Work from SUNY Albany in 2015. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Circle of Security Parenting, and I pull from a variety of therapeutic approaches depending on what works best for each client; because therapy is never one-size-fits-all.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel like a safe, supportive space where you can show up exactly as you are; no pressure, no judgment, and no need to have it all figured out. I work from a warm, person-centered approach and value building genuine connections with my clients while helping them feel understood, empowered, and supported through life’s challenges. Life can get messy, overwhelming, and downright exhausting sometimes; therapy doesn’t have to be another place where you feel pressure to “have it together.” I believe the best therapy happens when people feel comfortable enough to be real, laugh a little, vent freely, and know they’re being met with compassion instead of judgment.

What you can expect from me

My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. Whether we are working through anxiety, trauma, behavioral challenges, emotional regulation, parenting stress, or life transitions, I work hard to create an environment where clients feel safe being themselves, asking difficult questions, and making progress at their own pace.

A first session is typically more of a conversation than anything else; a chance for us to get to know each other, talk about what’s bringing you in, explore your goals, and figure out what support might look like for you or your family moving forward. No pressure, no expectations, just a starting point.
