Great to meet you!

I am a bicultural and bilingual mental health counselor with over 14 years of experience across diverse settings, including hospitals, government facilities, and private practice. This has equipped me with expertise in mental health, substance use, group work, crisis intervention, and individual therapy.

I work with adults experiencing a range of challenges, such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, marital or relationship issues, and career changes. My approach involves exploring both past experiences and current life contexts to identify unhelpful patterns and leverage your strengths to navigate these situations in a more genuine manner.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My aim is to support you holistically by exploring your current circumstances and their overall impact, while also considering the underlying factors that contribute to them. I offer trauma- and somatic-informed therapy, a unique approach that acknowledges trauma is stored not only in the mind but also in the body. This allows for a comprehensive process that facilitates the release of trauma and promotes profound healing.

I will guide you in recognizing your bodily sensations, connecting you more deeply with your body, and processing any trauma held within. Through techniques like breath work, body scanning, and mindfulness, we can help you release stored energy or emotions, fostering self-regulation and healing.

As a bilingual therapist, I provide therapy in both English and Spanish, ensuring you can express your experiences and challenges fully and authentically, within your cultural context. This enables me to tailor somatic techniques and interventions to meet your specific needs.

What you can expect from our first session

In my work, you can find a safe and neutral space to process unresolved situations or questions that are not clear to you. I help you connect your thoughts and narratives with the language of your body in order to understand, to verbalize and integrate experiences that may be causing emotional pain. My hope for you is to accompany your journey, processing and healing experiences to lead a more fulfilling life.
