Great to meet you!

As a therapist I have worked with college students, adults, veterans, and couples that is to say individuals managing the ups and downs of life. I love working with my clients and am humbled by their willingness to share their lives with me. In earlier careers I was an arts educator, yoga teacher and small business owner. As a therapist in my 60's I have deep empathy for the struggles of my clients as they navigate the surprises, ( both good and bad) that happen throughout life. I believe taking care of one's mental health is as important as sleep, food, sunlight and air.

My approach to therapy

Clients don't seek therapy when their life is going great. I believe the therapeutic relationship is key to healing along with research backed techniques and tools. Clients tell me that my qualities of being a good listener, non-judgmental, and truly caring about the welfare of them made sessions easier and more fulfilling.

What you can expect from me

Under each complaint is a longing. In our first session you will share what your goal is for yourself from therapy. This can be as simple as "to feel better" as a start, we will create a treatment plan, I will ask questions to asses the scope of care needed and we will work as a team. You will tell me a little bit about yourself and we start from there, you set the pace. You will not be required to share anything you don't want to share.

***PLEASE NOTE COUPLES SESSIONS ARE PRIVATE PAY; I do not accept insurance for couples. Couples sessions are 75-90 minutes and the first 4 sessions are in person, we can discuss after that meeting if telehealth is an option. In my experience better outcomes result when couples sessions are in person.
