Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Maria Racadio and I am a licensed independent social worker in Ohio. I approach therapy from the belief that every person has innate potential—and with the right support, can grow, flourish, and thrive. I provide telehealth services only, offering accessible and flexible care to clients and families across our state.

I specialize in working with individuals who experience neurodivergence, anxiety, trauma, and depression. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I strive to create an environment where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to explore their strengths.

My clinical background includes training in:

• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness

• Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT)

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for reshaping unhelpful thoughts and building practical coping strategies

• Play therapy techniques that help children express themselves naturally and authentically

• Neurodiverse affirming care, including strengths-based, sensory-informed approaches

If you feel ready to begin this journey, I’m here to help.

My approach to therapy

I support clients in a variety of ways, including helping them:

• Manage anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm

• Improve executive functioning skills such as organization, planning, and follow-through

• Understand and embrace their personal strengths, and learn how to use them with confidence

• Build healthy coping skills for stress, transitions, and big emotions

• Develop a stronger sense of identity and self-advocacy

I also work closely with parents, helping them:

• Better understand and support children with ADHD, autism, and other neurodevelopmental differences

• Strengthen communication, routines, and emotional connection at home

• Gain tools that foster resilience, confidence, and well-being in their children

What you can expect from me

An initial appointment with me prioritizes your comfort and focuses on beginning to build a therapeutic alliance. We will discuss your history, current symptoms, and functioning, as well as your goals for treatment.
