Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Maria, and I'm so glad you're here. Reaching out for support takes courage, and I want you to know this is a space where you can feel truly seen and heard.

I've spent over 20 years walking alongside people through some of life's most complex moments. My work centers on helping individuals and families navigate change — whether that's a child adjusting to a new family structure, an adult processing a lifelong pattern, or someone on the autism spectrum looking for a therapist who really understands how they experience the world.

My approach to therapy

I have a particular passion for family systems work: blended families, adoption, fostering, and stepfamily dynamics. These transitions can bring up grief, identity questions, and relationship strain that are easy to feel alone in — I help clients and families make sense of what they're feeling and build healthier ways of connecting. I also love working with individuals on the autism spectrum, tailoring our work together to fit how you think and communicate best, rather than asking you to fit a one-size-fits-all mold.

What you can expect from me

My approach draws on both individual and group counseling, and I bring real-world experience from addiction treatment, developmental disabilities, community mental health, and school-based therapy settings. That breadth means I've seen a lot — and it's taught me to meet each person exactly where they are, with practical tools for treatment and behavior planning alongside genuine warmth.

If any of this sounds like what you're looking for, I'd love to connect and see how we might work together.
