Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 20 years of experience in mental health and behavioral health settings. My professional background includes working with individual and families, as well as experience in corrections and community-based mental health services. I earned a graduate degree in counseling from Northern Arizona University in 2012 and have been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2017. I support adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, grief and loss, stress, and life transitions. I provide therapy in both English and Spanish and strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel hears, understood, and comfortable being themselves.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, respect, and genuine connection. My approach is person-centered and strengths based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I tailor therapy to each person's needs, goals, and pace, combining practical tools with a supportive environment that encourages self-awareness, growth, and meaningful change. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you recognize your strengths, develop new perspectives, and move towards the changes you want to make.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we'll take time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and the goals you'd like to achieve. I will ask questions about your personal history, relationships, strengths, and any challenges you're facing to gain a better understanding of your unique experiences. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what is important to you, and determine whether we're a good fit. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and with a clear understanding of how we will work together moving forward.
