Great to meet you!

Sometimes the questions that bring us to therapy are bigger than anxiety, stress, or relationship challenges. They are questions about purpose, identity, faith, and how to move forward when life no longer looks the way you expected it would.

I'm MariaElena, and I believe therapy can be a place where emotional healing, personal growth, and spiritual values coexist. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, grief, life transitions, and periods of uncertainty. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling pulled in different directions—trying to care for others, honor their responsibilities, stay true to their values, and still make space for their own needs.

For clients who desire it, I offer a faith-integrated approach that honors Catholic values while remaining grounded in evidence-based therapy. Whether you're struggling with a difficult season, seeking clarity in a major life decision, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, therapy can provide a space to slow down, reflect, and move forward with greater confidence and peace.

My approach to therapy

I believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to be honest about what they are carrying and supported enough to begin creating change. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each person's unique experiences, goals, and beliefs.

I draw from evidence-based therapeutic approaches while helping clients explore the emotional, relational, and spiritual factors that may be influencing their current challenges. Together, we work to identify patterns that contribute to anxiety, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, or emotional distress while building healthier ways of coping and responding.

For clients who wish to incorporate their faith into therapy, we can also explore how spiritual beliefs, values, prayer, forgiveness, purpose, and trust can become resources for healing and growth. My goal is never to impose beliefs, but to create space where the parts of your life that matter most—including your faith—are welcomed into the therapeutic process.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for me to get to know you, your story, and what has been weighing on your heart. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. Many people come to therapy because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about what comes next.

Over time, clients often develop a stronger sense of self-understanding, healthier boundaries, greater emotional resilience, and more confidence in navigating life's challenges. For those who incorporate faith into our work, therapy can also become a place to reconnect with the values and beliefs that help provide meaning, direction, and hope.

My hope is that you leave therapy feeling not only more equipped to handle life's difficulties, but more connected to who you are and the life you want to build.
