Great to meet you!

My name is Mariah Boykin and I am a License Clinical Social Worker. I have been a Social Worker for over twenty five years, I have experience working in many different areas including, child welfare and adoption, domestic violence and military family support. I have provided individual, group and marriage therapy in outpatient and hospital settings.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is non-judgmental and holistic. I believe that therapy is a journey of healing and everyone goes at their own pace. I have training in treatment of trauma and have successfully helped many adult clients who suffer from depression, anxiety and PTSD due to past childhood trauma.

What you can expect from me

I like to introduce myself and give a brief summary of my experience in the first session. I then proceed to ask guided questions as part of the assessment and treatment plan goal setting. The most important question that I would like answered is "what does the client expect from therapy and how will they know when they have achieved that goal?". This process usually takes two to three sessions to achieve.
