Great to meet you!

I am a Harvard-trained board-certified psychiatrist with subspecialty training in psychosomatic medicine and child and adolescent psychiatry, practicing with a mind-body approach for all ages. I am also trained in integrative psychiatry, incorporating natural and holistic treatments, and talk therapy. I have a special interest in caring for patients with ADHD or other forms of neurodivergence, trauma related disorders, and complex co-occurring medical conditions. Special populations of interest to me include: women in the peripartum phase, high functioning professionals/students, populations in diaspora, and those seeking a second opinion. I would be happy to serve you!

My approach to therapy

I understand how important it is to have a positive relationship with your doctor for your mental health journey. At Empath Medicine, I strive to practice with a holistic, integrative and empathic approach. I take time to listen to your needs and to answer all of your questions. I value your autonomy and freedom of choice. I work with you to come up with a plan that you are comfortable with, including natural supplements, medication management, medical interventions and/or psychotherapy.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I strive to listen to your needs intently, using standardized assessments to identify any conditions you may have. You will thus develop a clearer understanding of your diagnoses. We will collaboratively arrive at a plan that feels reasonable and comfortable for you. We may decide to engage in brief talk therapy, prescribe medications and/or supplements, order laboratory or psychopharmacogenomic (i.e. genetic) testing, or we may choose to connect you with an additional specialist to address the root cause(s) of your provisional condition(s). We immediately schedule a close follow up (i.e. within 1-4 weeks, depending upon your needs) at the end of our first session, so that you are not lost to follow up.
