Great to meet you!

I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a background in psychiatric nursing and advanced clinical training in mental health care. My experience has allowed me to work with individuals across the lifespan and with a wide range of mental health concerns. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, and other mental health concerns. I understand that reaching out for psychiatric care can feel overwhelming, so I strive to create a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable being open about what you are experiencing.

I believe effective mental health care begins with listening. My goal is to understand you as a whole person, not simply a diagnosis, and work with you toward greater stability, functioning, and quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is patient centered, collaborative, and evidence based. I take time to understand your symptoms, history, current challenges, lifestyle, and treatment goals before developing a plan of care.

Treatment may include medication management, supportive therapy, education, and practical strategies you can use in everyday life. I believe patients should understand their treatment and feel comfortable asking questions, discussing concerns, and participating in decisions about their care.

My goal is to build a therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, cultural sensitivity, and open communication while providing care that is individualized to your needs.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for me to understand what has been happening and what you would like help with. We will discuss your current concerns, symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, medications, sleep, daily functioning, relationships, and other factors that may be affecting your mental health.

I will also give you time to ask questions and discuss any concerns you have about diagnosis or treatment. After completing the evaluation, we will discuss my clinical impressions and develop a treatment plan together. Depending on your individual needs, this may include medication, supportive therapy, coping strategies, additional assessment, or follow up care.

You should leave your first appointment with a clearer understanding of the next steps and a treatment plan that makes sense for you.
