Great to meet you!

My name is Mariam Bouanane-Smith, a compassionate and experienced Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. With a diverse background in mental healthcare, I have successfully assisted individuals of all ages in overcoming conditions like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and PTSD. I believe every person deserves compassionate and effective mental healthcare.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I use a range of treatments, such as talk therapy, mindfulness practices, and medication management.

I am committed to providing treatment tailored to people of all backgrounds. I understand that mental health issues can affect anyone, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is to develop a customized treatment plan based on your unique needs, experiences, values, and preferences.

What you can expect from our first session

The goals we set together will depend on your individual needs, but they commonly revolve around achieving mental wellness, improving coping strategies, and enhancing the overall quality of life. Your safety and comfort are my top priorities. I aim to create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where you can freely share your thoughts and feelings and where we can work together to find what helps you feel your best.
