Great to meet you!

Trauma, relationship issues, and a lifetime of being misunderstood can profoundly impact our emotional wellbeing and sense of self. As a board-certified therapist with 5+ years of experience, I help women build confidence; reduce self-harming behaviors; and heal their relationship with themselves. I am especially passionate about providing culturally responsive care to immigrant and first-gen Latine clients. As a bilingual therapist, I want you to feel heard and understood in your language as you process your experiences with trauma, anxiety and depression. I am also committed to providing affirming care for neurodivergent women. To this end, please feel free to curse, stim, and do what you need to feel comfortable. I can also provide suggestions on how to adapt your sensory environment so you can relax, unmask, and engage fully in session.

My approach to therapy

I use a strengths-based approach to help you leverage your unique qualities and reach your personal goals. I also use psychodynamic and relational approaches to help you identify relationship patterns, address attachment wounds, and safely practice trust, vulnerability, and boundaries in a therapeutic space. Finally, my work is grounded in the trauma-informed care principles of transparency, collaboration and empowerment. This means that I will respect the pace at which you choose to share your experiences, and help you approach moments of shame and guilt with more compassion.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will work together to develop an initial treatment plan that reflects your current concerns, symptoms, and goals. As our work continues, we will explore present-day stressors while building insight into how past experiences or trauma may be affecting how you feel today. I will regularly check in with you and offer practical tools and strategies to help you feel more grounded and supported between appointments. I understand that trust and a sense of safety take time to develop, so we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I want to be a support for you on your therapeutic journey -- and be your biggest cheerleader! -- so if you are ready to build a life that feels worth living, please reach out today!
