Great to meet you!

If you’re feeling anxious, worn down, or like you’re just going through the motions, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to keep doing it this way. I work with adults and families who are navigating anxiety, low mood, relationship stress, and major life transitions, including moves, career shifts, parenting changes, and losses. Together, we’ll slow things down so you can make sense of what’s happening, get out of survival mode, and reconnect with what matters most to you.

For more than 25 years, I’ve supported individuals and families through challenging seasons, including years spent working overseas with military families. I’ve seen firsthand how stressful and disorienting change can be, even when it’s expected. Therapy with me is a place where you can put the mask down, say the things you’ve been holding in, and feel deeply heard. From there, we’ll start building steadiness, clarity, and a path forward that truly fits your life and values.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, encouraging, and grounded in real life. I believe you bring a lot of wisdom and resilience to the table already, even if it doesn’t feel that way right now. In our work together, we’ll make room for painful emotions while also noticing your strengths, patterns, and supports. I often draw from evidence-based tools for anxiety, depression, and stress, but I always tailor our work to your unique history, culture, and goals.

In our first few sessions, we’ll focus on getting to know you—your story, what’s been weighing on you, and what you hope might be different. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer gentle reflections, and check in regularly to be sure therapy feels useful and safe. Over time, we might practice new coping skills, explore relationship dynamics, or reframe unhelpful beliefs that are keeping you stuck. My goal is for you to feel a growing sense of calm, confidence, and agency both in and outside of our sessions.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy is a brave step, and you don’t need to have the “right” words or a clear plan before we begin—that’s what we’ll figure out together. In our work, you can expect a nonjudgmental space where all parts of you are welcome: the tired parts, the frustrated parts, and the hopeful parts that still want things to change. I’ll move at a pace that feels respectful and manageable, checking in often so you feel supported, not overwhelmed.

As we continue, you can expect to gain a better understanding of your emotions, triggers, and relationship patterns, along with practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, and low mood in your day-to-day life. Many people notice they start to feel more grounded, more understood, and more able to make choices that align with their values. If you’re ready to feel less alone and more in control of your life, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. When you’re ready, you can book a session, and we’ll take the next step forward together.
