Great to meet you!

My name is Mariana Nogueira, LCSW, and I am a bilingual therapist with over a decade of experience working with individuals and families navigating trauma, grief, immigration, chronic illness, and major life transitions. I received my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Sacramento, and have extensive training in trauma-focused therapies and mindfulness-based approaches.

Over the years, I have worked in hospice care, hospital settings, cancer centers, community mental health, and with immigrant and undocumented communities. These experiences have deeply shaped my commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed therapy.

I specialize in supporting adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, burnout, identity transitions, or who feel caught between cultures.

My approach to therapy

I’m passionate about helping people write their next chapter with confidence and hope. In our work together, I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where individuals from all backgrounds feel seen, heard, and understood. Cultural sensitivity is at the heart of my approach—I honor the identities, values, and experiences that shape who you are.

I see therapy as a collaborative partnership, where your story, strengths, and goals guide the process. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, or personal growth, I bring both clinical expertise and genuine care to support you in moving forward with clarity, compassion, and resilience.

What you can expect from me

The first session with me is focused on connection, safety, and understanding. I offer a calm, welcoming space where you’re free to share at your own pace—there is no pressure to go into everything right away.

I take time to learn about your story, including your cultural background, values, and life experiences, because these shape how you see the world and how the world sees you. Together, we’ll begin to clarify your goals for therapy and create a path forward that honors your needs and strengths.

My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the journey ahead.
