Great to meet you!

Hello — I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges, transitions, and unexpected changes. Whatever brought you here — grief, stress, anxiety, depression, the weight of caring for someone you love, adjusting to a health change, or simply feeling unsure what comes next — I'd be glad to walk alongside you. Much of my career has centered on older adults, caregivers, and people coping with illness or disability, along with grief and loss, self-discovery, and finding purpose in a new stage of life. I speak both English and Tagalog. I earned my MSW from the University of Washington, and I believe every person's story matters — my aim is to offer a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and person-centered. I see therapy as a partnership — a place where you feel safe to share your experiences, explore your emotions, and discover your own strengths. I take time to understand your unique story, values, and goals, and I integrate supportive therapy, cognitive behavioral strategies, solution-focused techniques, motivational interviewing, and a strengths-based approach to help you manage challenges, build coping skills, and create real change. After 30 years, I bring a deep understanding of life transitions, caregiving, aging, health-related changes, and grief — along with a strong commitment to making sure you feel respected, validated, and free to move forward at your own pace.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my goal is simply to begin building a trusting, comfortable relationship with you. We'll take time to talk about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve through our work together. I'll listen with compassion and without judgment while helping you identify your strengths, needs, and goals, and we'll discuss what's been difficult, what has helped you in the past, and what steps might support your growth and healing. By the end, we'll begin shaping an approach that fits your life and feels meaningful to you. Therapy is a collaborative process, and my role is to support you as you navigate change and move toward a more fulfilling life.
