I tend to use a person centered approach finding client strengths and building upon them. I also use a holistic approach treating the entire person and their issues. I believe clients should have "homework" so use a cognitive behavioral approach to reinforce what we are working on.
Hopefully clients take away a warm comforting feeling of honesty trust, support and hope that things will get better and they have come to the right place.
