Great to meet you!

Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and a professional school social worker. I have a lot of experience working with youth, and I am very passionate about providing mental health support for young people and moms. Regardless of the type of therapy I am providing, I always incorporate hands-on activities so my clients can enjoy doing something with their hands while we are working through their personal experiences.

My approach to therapy

I have a high success rate of helping individuals experiencing anxiety and grief. Many children feel safe when they are with me, and my ability to nurture the relationship between me and my clients helps speed up the healing process. I also use Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) as often as I can, primarily because it is so effective and can provide almost immediate relief for individuals who have experienced trauma.

I support children, adolescents, adults, and seniors navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management challenges, including panic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and sleep disorders. I work with individuals experiencing grief and bereavement, end of life issues, infertility, chronic conditions such as diabetes, and other health-related disabilities that impact emotional well-being. My practice also supports clients living with bipolar disorder (also known as manic depressive illness), attention deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD), eating disorders, alcohol and substance abuse concerns, anger management and impulse control difficulties, and complex family or relationship issues.

I provide affirming care around identity development, cultural and ethnic issues, women’s issues, men’s issues, maternal mental health including prepartum and postpartum transitions, and LGBTQ+ concerns, including support for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals. Whether you are navigating major life transitions, managing chronic stress, or working through long-standing patterns, therapy can be a space to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward greater stability and self-understanding.

What you can expect from me

I always offer a free evaluation so that we can talk about what's going on and decide if there's a good "vibe" between us. If it doesn't quite fit, I am happy to provide a referral. If it goes well, we can schedule a future appointment. During that appointment I go over your history and ask questions to determine if you have a diagnosable mental health condition.
