I am a Mexican- American female, that is bicultural and bilingual (Spanish/ English). I have 12 years of experience working with children, families, and individuals that suffer of anxiety, depression, and trauma. In the last 3 years I have been working with children and young adults that have a medical diagnosis as diabetes, cancer, eating disorders or disabilities; mental health diagnosis. I obtained my bachelor and master’s degree in social work from California State University of Los Angeles. I am certify in modalities of treatment as Parent Child Interaction Therapy ( PCIT), Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP) and Individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT).

My approach to therapy

My approach in treatment is to start were the client is at and to focus on the client in the environment, using strength base theory and CBT skills. Focus on the things that could be control by the client and assist them to manage the things that cannot be control by teaching mindfulness, tolerance and assist them process those things that do not allow them to move on.

What you can expect from me

Clients could expect to take skills that they could use to manage their thoughts, feelings, behaviors that are affecting their daily functioning. For me to be a tool of their process in which I could guide you to be the best version of yourself, through processing and problem solving.
