Hi, my name is Dr. Maricela Smith! I am a licensed psychologist in the State of Arizona. I received my Psy.D. and M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University-Glendale. I completed my doctoral internship at Southwest Behavioral & Health Services-Metro and post-doctoral training in outpatient psychotherapy and clinical services at COPA Health-Gateway. I specialize in working with patients diagnosed with a serious mental illness and/or part of the general mental health population.

I tend to incorporate various treatment modalities and tailor therapy to the specific needs of the patient. I am a strong advocate of a “strengths-based” approach to therapy.

I strive to make my patients feel comfortable and encourage collaborative documentation and goal setting.
