I'm a dedicated social worker who believes purposeful change happens when people feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered, especially those in the BIPOC communities. My work is grounded in in compassion, collaboration and deep respect that every client has a unique story. I work hard to create a safe, welcoming and judgement-free space where you can build on your strengths, move towards your goals, and know that I will be direct in my approach but that it comes from a place of care. I believe that therapy is a powerful space for change and self-discovery, and I strive to provide that for you.
My approach to therapy first starts with hearing about your story and honing in on your strengths, working collaboratively, and being client-centered. I believe that clients are experts in their own lives, and my role is to guide, support, and work alongside you to navigate the challenges that you are facing. I use CBT, trauma-informed, and narrative therapy.
Our first session is really about us getting to know each other to ensure that I am a good fit for you. Therapy is really about what you want to get out of it and how I can be a vessel in helping you in creating these changes. My goal is to get to know you better, help you set your goals, and letting me know how I can help you to get there.
