Great to meet you!

I'm Molly a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) and Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) with over 17 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. My background spans clinical and community settings, and what I've seen consistently is this: people often know more than they can say. Art therapy gives that knowing somewhere to go.I work with clients navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, anger, relationship stress, women's issues, and family challenges. Some of my clients are parents bringing their kids in. Others are adults who've tried talk therapy and felt like something was still missing. I see both telehealth-wide across New York, and I accept Cigna and Carelon Behavioral Health.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative — which means I draw from what actually fits the person in front of me, not a single method. For clients who benefit from structure, I use CBT and ACT frameworks. For those working through attachment wounds or early experiences, I lean into psychodynamic and attachment-based work. For children especially, play and art therapy are often the most direct route to understanding what's happening inside.Art doesn't have to mean drawing. It can be collage, movement, storytelling, or simply using metaphor to externalize something that's hard to look at directly. Creativity is the vehicle — healing is the destination. I meet clients where they are and adjust as we go.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a conversation, not an assessment. I want to understand what's brought you here, what you've already tried, and what feels most important right now. If I'm working with a child, I'll spend time with the parent first and then invite the child in at a pace that feels comfortable for them — no pressure to perform or produce anything. You don't need to know how to "do therapy" or explain everything perfectly. You just need to show up. We figure out the rest together — and often, that first session already shifts something.
