Great to meet you!

I’m a trauma therapist who works with teens and adults navigating the impact of trauma, including childhood and relational trauma. I believe that our responses make sense in the context of what we’ve lived through. Symptoms aren’t signs of weakness or failure—they’re signs of a nervous system that learned how to survive.

Reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating—especially if you’ve learned to push through, keep things inside, or take care of everyone else first. Many of the teens and adults I work with feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally shut down, or unsure why certain patterns keep repeating, even when they’re trying their hardest to do better.

My approach is gentle, collaborative, and paced with care. I prioritize creating a space where you (or your teen) can feel safe, respected, and understood. Together, we focus on building emotional regulation, self-awareness, and resilience, while also addressing deeper wounds when it feels right. Healing doesn’t require reliving everything, and progress doesn’t have to be rushed.

My approach to therapy

I have 10 years of experience working in the mental health field, with six years spent providing trauma-informed therapy in public systems before opening my private practice in 2022. My style is intuitive and empathetic, and also honest and practical.

My therapeutic approach is to help steward your journey alongside you, allowing the natural healing process to unfold. While I draw from traditional talk therapy modalities, such as a CBT and family systems, I also offer EMDR and other somatic techniques to help support nervous system regulation and healing.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating—especially if you’ve learned to push through, keep things inside, or take care of everyone else first. Many of the teens and adults I work with feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally shut down, or unsure why certain patterns keep repeating, even when they’re trying their hardest to do better.

The first session involves understanding more background and context to what brings you to therapy. We discuss the specific challenges that led you here. Our aim is to quickly shift the focus from a state of being overwhelmed to one of having a clearer path forward.
