My name is Angel Marie Renee Mayes, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I earned my master’s degree from Campbellsville University in 2018 and have been in private practice for five years. My practice, Resilience Way Mental Health Therapy and Self-Care Agency, focuses on self-care, domestic violence awareness, healing from trauma, and building resilience for individuals and families.
I take a client-centered approach, allowing clients the space to move through therapy at their own pace while encouraging them to use therapeutic tools and work toward their goals and healing. My style adapts to each client's needs and personality, using various therapy methods to help them build empowerment, resilience, and healing.
The first session is an introduction, giving clients the chance to share about themselves, their therapeutic concerns, and personal challenges. I also share a bit about my own background, highlighting how my experiences and resilience through struggles, combined with therapy and therapeutic tools, have shaped me. My goal is to provide a safe space where clients can express their needs and feel comfortable being their true selves.
