Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working across a variety of settings, including children's clinics, a state hospital, correctional facilities, and private practice. These diverse experiences have provided me with a broad understanding of the unique challenges individuals face throughout different stages of life and in a variety of circumstances.

I currently work with adults and older adults, specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and post-traumatic stress. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual's needs, with a focus on helping clients build coping skills, increase resilience, and improve their overall quality of life. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped to create meaningful and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I was trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy and believe that many of the patterns we experience in our current relationships can be traced back to early life experiences and the ways we learned to navigate the world as children. While these patterns may have once served a purpose, they can sometimes become obstacles to healthy relationships, emotional well-being, and personal growth.

My approach focuses on helping clients identify and understand these recurring patterns, increase awareness of how they show up in daily life, and develop new ways of responding that are more aligned with their current goals and values. In addition to insight-oriented work, I incorporate cognitive techniques, assertiveness training, and grounding strategies to help clients manage distress, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to help clients feel more empowered, self-aware, and capable of building healthier relationships with themselves and others.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I spend time understanding what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. This is an opportunity for you to share your concerns, experiences, and goals in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment while we begin building a strong therapeutic relationship.

Because the first session also serves as an intake assessment, I will ask questions about your current symptoms, personal history, and overall well-being to gain a comprehensive understanding of your needs. We will also discuss relevant family history and other factors that may be contributing to your current challenges. My goal is to gather the information needed to develop an accurate understanding of your experiences while ensuring you feel heard, respected, and comfortable throughout the process.
