I am a Licensed Psychologist and have been providing therapeutic services for the past 18 years. I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) and bicultural Mexican-American originally from Chicago, IL. . A significant focus of my practice includes working with Latin professionals, particularly those navigating corporate America, as well as the queer population. My priority is always to create a safe, affirming, and empowering environment where you can be your authentic self.
I have worked in multiple setting including inpatient and outpatient services, and have experience working with young adults and the elderly 70+ yrs old. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, person-centered, and rooted in genuine respect for your unique experience. I strive to understand not only the challenges you are facing, but also your strengths and aspirations. I believe therapy should be both supportive and practical; together, we’ll identify goals, build on what’s working, and tackle obstacles in a way that honors your identity, culture, and lived experience. My style is warm, direct, and attentive—I want you to feel truly seen and heard in every session
My theoretical orientation is an integration of CBT, Client Centered and Humanistic approach. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. In our first session, you can expect a space that is welcoming, non-judgmental, and focused on your needs. I’ll ask about your background, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to achieve. This is also a time for you to share your story at your own pace, ask any questions, and see if my approach is a good fit for you. Whether you’re looking for support with work-life balance, navigating identities in a professional world, or working through life’s transitions, I am here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
